WEEK 4: MENTAL HEALTH

October 27th – 31st

MINDFULNESS

In today’s fast-paced world, finding calm can seem impossible. But with just a few minutes of mindfulness a day, you can ease stress and invite tranquility. Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present, helping you connect with your thoughts, emotions, and surroundings. By taking a moment to breathe deeply and focus, you can reduce tension and boost your well-being. Though brief, this daily practice can lead to increased focus, reduced anxiety, and a greater sense of balance.

Gratitude turns what we have into enough.

Gratitude, the act of appreciating kindness, boosts happiness by fostering positive emotions, improving well-being, and strengthening connections.

Why not embrace gratitude and see the positive impact it can bring? Let’s give gratitude a try.

GIVING BACK FOR BETTER MENTAL HEALTH

Join this initiative to declutter your life and volunteer in the community. Supporting others through charitable donations doesn’t just make a difference in the community—it also benefits your own mental well-being. Acts of giving have been shown to reduce stress, boost mood, and create a sense of purpose and connection. During Wellness Month, consider donating to a cause that matters to you. Even small contributions can make a big impact on both your mental health and the lives of others.

 VIRTUAL ART SHOW/COLORING CONTEST

SECRET PAL INITIATIVE

It’s always heartwarming to feel appreciated and valued.

Here’s an exciting activity to spread positivity and uplift others:

Brighten a colleague’s day by anonymously complimenting them on a post-it note. Leave this thoughtful surprise on their desk, lunch box, or even their equipment.

Let’s make someone’s day brighter!

Week 4 focuses on mental wellness, which includes emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act, helping us manage stress and make decisions.

Did you know 1 in 5 people experience mental illness, but only half receive treatment? Common signs include anxiety, depression, irritability, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, appetite changes, and social withdrawal.

Recognizing and identifying these symptoms is essential to receive the best support focused on your needs.

Starting with small, meaningful changes to your social interactions, physical activity levels, and sleep habits can enhance your well-being overtime, and soon enough– tomorrow will look brighter.

“A healthy attitude is contagious but don’t wait to catch it from others. Be a carrier.”
